18% of the world's zeolite consumption is natural zeolites, 82% synthetic zeolites, and the main consumed zeolites are Clinoptilolite and Chabasite. Clinoptilolites are mostly used in the construction, agriculture-livestock breeding and treatment sectors. 
It is used in 150 different fields from organic agriculture to detergent industry, from stockfarming to industrial waste cleaning. 
Natural zeolites are widely used in the preparation of the soil for agriculture, mostly in clay-poor soils due to their high ion exchange and water retention properties. In addition its high ammonium selectivity, ammonium is used more effectively by plants by using clinoptilolite as a carrier in fertilizer preparation thus fertilizer savings are achieved. Since clinoptilolite absorbs excess moisture, it prevents firing and hardening of fertilizers during the storage period. It has been also determined that fungal diseases caused by excessive irrigation are prevented.
