LEONARDITE

Product Code

FT-025

Leonardite is a soft, black or brown, shiny, glassy mineraloid that is easily soluble in alkaline solutions. Chemicals used in agricultural activities destroy the nature’s balance and create negative effects on public health. Distancing from the use of chemicals in agriculture and the increasing interest in organic agriculture increase the importance of the leonardite raw material and the humic and fulvic acid obtained from this raw material in agricultural activities. Leonardite and its derivatives are used in many areas from cosmetics to pharmaceuticals, from drilling industry to animal feed and filter systems.
Leonardite is the highly oxidized form of lignite during carbonization and has a humic acid content varying between 35-85%. Leonardite, except for high content of humic acids; It is also defined as completely natural organic substance that has not reached the level of coal contains carbon, macro and micro nutrients.
In consideration of plant efficiency and quality, the advantages of using leonardite are generally as follows:

  • * Increase in efficiency,
    * A higher quality, lively, healthy, nutritious and standard product isobtained,
    * Significantly provides earliness,
    * In case of using fertilizers, the amount of fertilizer used is greatly reduced,
    * Leonardite (or humic acid) regulates and improves the soil structure perfectly,
    * It does not harm the environment and removes the existing pollution in the soil,
    * Provides better aeration by preventing soil compression,
    * Increases the water permeability of the soil,
    * Increases the organic substance of sandy soils,
    * Increases the water retention capacity of the soil,
    * Protects soil moisture by reducing water losses against aridity,
    * Provides better use of solar energy as it darkens the soil color,
    * Increases beneficial microorganism activities in the soil,
    * Regulates the pH structure of the soil and neutralizes the soil,
    * Humic acid reduces the toxicity caused by high salinity.
